Midwest Disabililty
Located in Anoka and Coon Rapids, Midwest Disability’s attorneys help families in Minnesota recover workers' compensation benefits after a job injury. They also assist families who need Social Security disability benefits after a physical or mental impairment leaves them unable to work. They recently opened a new office in Coon Rapids to meet the space needs of their growing organization. |
With the planning of a new facility came the opportunity for Midwest Disability to choose office furnishings to enhance their image and create a warm environment for their employees. The company was outgrowing their office space in Anoka, so they opened an additional office in Coon Rapids that provides workspaces for three attorneys and 17 employees.
Midwest Disability talked with several vendors to find a solution to fit their workplace needs. They also looked into the option of installing movable panel systems versus building private offices. “We decided that we wanted the flexibility of the movable panel systems so we have the option to make changes as needed,” says Felix Manella, Attorney and Partner of Midwest Disability. |
| The Solution |
| The company chose Marco as their office furnishing vendor for several reasons including product selection, quality of product, and responsiveness. Felix worked with Marco sales professional Gary Bednar. “Gary took us to a showroom in Brooklyn Park so we could actually look at the exact example of the office furnishings Marco proposed to install,” he says. “This was important to us.” |

“When the installation was done,
we were so impressed. We just saw
the shell of the building when it was done,

a beautiful office. It was really
remarkable that everything fell
into place simultaneously.” |

During the visit, Manella also observed the sturdiness of the Evolve product. “We’re uninformed people when it comes to office furnishings so it was a good selling point to see the product.”
Midwest Disability’s employees met with Marco and their design team to view and measure their new office space and determine their needs and how they work. In February of 2007, Marco installed Evolve panel systems throughout the customer service area of the facility and wood veneer desks and case goods in their private offices. They also provided them with custom tables and leather executive chairs for their two conference rooms. A sound masking system was installed to reduce noise in the areas with open workstations.
Manella says, “When the installation was done, we were so impressed. We saw just the shell of the building when it was done, and Marco turned it into such a beautiful office. It blew me away that it looked as good as it does. It was really remarkable that everything fell into place simulataneously.”
Mannella was impressed with the responsiveness received from Bednar throughout the project. He says, “Gary was pleasant and followed up. If he said he was going to get back with us on things, he did and followed up the next day. I must say I feel very good about Marco and would recommend them.” |
